There are multiple secondary stages of data collection on your vehicle as well. The thickness of the paint on your vehicle is checked to confirm or verify that it wasn't repaired or repainted or possibly over polished or buffed by your local car wash or detailer. This is important as the clear coat of your vehicle must have a minimum thickness in areas where "blends" may take place.

Additionally we also visually inspect what is referred to as "Panel Gaps." In this intermediate stage we check all gaps to confirm their similarity to one another and in comparison with the opposite side of your vehicle. Any irregularities in these gaps is a potential indicator that damage has traveled further through your vehicle.

Depending on what is seen visually, your vehicle may be moved to a lift to gather photos of the under carriage and line of sight mechanical components.
